Okay. So when the Brotherhood troopers get the sword & shield conversion kit do they trade in their ranged weapons for or keep them? They trade them. A trooper can only be one or t'other.

That's good to know. I presumed as much. At the moment it seems to be a very shooty game. Hopefully when we start playing with secondary objectives... and tertiary objectives... then it will become less of a killing game and we can enjoy a full five rounds of mayhem.

Yeah, though I suspect in part because we're learning the basics so aren't manovering too much. Also, cover plays a much bigger part than I first realised.
We were playing kinda Necromunda rules - all cover is the same, it just depends how covered by it the model is to receive a light of heavy cover bonus. In Warzone, any model which is 25% or more in cover counts, and it's the type of cover itself which defines how much bonus you get, so chain link fences and bushes offer light cover (whether you're nearly all hidden or just one leg is), and solid walls, rock etc counts as heavy, so do intervening models.
Also, cover is cumulative, so if there's a rock, a bush, and an enemy trooper blocking line of sight by 25% or more, the the modifier is -4 (Rock - hard cover), -2 (Bush, light cover), and -4 (enemy trooper - counts as hard cover) for a total of - 10 from your RS.
All of a sudden, it isn't such a blood bath, and tactical manovering is paramount . Less of an immediat body count too!

Heeeeey! We're HOT! Not too sure what that means, but over 600 views in such a short amount of time is impressive by anyone's standards. Don't forget to contact me if you want a tester game. Don't be shy. We're all friends here.
Except for Tony.
Screw Tony.

Just got back from Overlord at Abingdon.
Lots of pennies well spent, mostly on Warzone rules and starter pack deal. I got the Capitol fellahs along with a dog handler who's going to get painted up like a Texas Cit Judge*
Just have to wade through the weighty tome of rules and fluff, get the minis painted** and arrange a game now!
DW
*Other Mega Cities are available
**Not by me, I hasten to add...

I didn't know you were bitten by Warzone bug Mr Dave. Excellent. We now have Capitol, Mishima, Cybertronic, Brotherhood, and Imperial, with Bauhaus support. Between us, we've played about 3 games. That, my friends, is dedication. You mad bastards.

The bug wasn't so much biting, but it was taking a nibble...
Fully booked for this month, with a couple of other games yet to be arranged but should be a clear diary once I've read the book and got my little mans back from the painter chappy. Looking forward to joining the other nutters in the corner playing WZ. ;D
Automated message from my phone.

I tried to get bitten. I tried to get inticed. I bought the huge skeletal nagash looking geezer but my god their stuff is as dear as gw!
They don't seem to have a handy model guide. They had a book of shizzle but George wasn't in the mood for me to browse.

Good. Gooooooood.
The obsession is growing within you.
I'm guessing your're talking about a Dark Legion character. At the mo, I guess the cost isn't hugely different from GW, except that you can play a good game with 15 figures, and a large game with less than 50, so the end cost shouldn't be as all encompasing (famous last words......?).
If you have suitable evil characters, proxy the hell out of them, or buy 2nd edition stuff for converting.
Join us Phil!
p.s. Let me know if you want a demo game to see if you like it

Now that Warzone has got it own corner in the forum
please populate it with fluff, links to free downloads, FAQ's / erratas etc and etc.
all in different threads to maintain easy browsing and of course you may want to start new threads for each faction - that is up to you

There's lots of inspiration for characters outside of Prodos. Any one of these guys would make an excellent Lord or Warlord for Imperial Statuesque Miniatures do some very nice sci fi resistance fighters too . Link.

Me too. Fine on a normal PC, but hates the mobile devices.
PHIL - i was toying with the idea of using the obvious Chaos connection. Or maybe Scavys from Necromunda for Undead Legionnaires if you already own them? Or even stumbling zombies from Malifaux or Warhammer. Prox them. Prox them well.

OK so I think I'm officially in now... Buying models is one thing. Buying the rulebook on eBay for a discounted price. Well that's the clincher right there!
