Guild Ball. How best to describe it? It's like the b*****d love child of Blood Bowl, five-a-side football, five-a-side pub football teams who play out 'round the back in the pub's car park and Warmahordes. I believe the sculptor's done a number of models for Privateer Press. It's looking like it could be fun. Here's a link for anyone who might care to go and take a look at it.

Here are some useful Guild Ball Links Guildball QPR (that's Quick Play Rules, not Queen's Park Rangers)
Cards for the Butcher's team
Cards for the team of Fishermen
Paper stand ups
In other news the fifth team has been announced. It's going to be the Brewer's Guild who have a penchant for wearing tartan, sporrans, and very little else. The Brewer's Guild update
The sixth guild is to be the alchemist's guild. The gameplay rules look pretty simple. It has a damage flow chart system similar to Arena Rex but more geared towards conditions and effects (stealing the ball, knocking someone down etc) with the alternate activation system of Hell Dorado/Arena Rex. It has lots of nice simple rules about the ball, influence (think Focus from Warmachine) and Momentum (closer to Fury from Hordes but it works differently). Any momentum you don't use gets added to your roll to see who goes first next turn. The team mascots can play. They aren't very effective but they add a little flavour and really reinforce the style and theme of the team. If they get taken down their team gets angry so sometimes it's worth letting the mascot stay alive 'till the right moment. There's also talk of Mordheim style generic sprues for each guild so that players can create their own teams for an extended campaign.

Let's see if we can fit this brewer's guild picture into a post without needing a horizontal slider bar.

Hey folks, Beasts of War did a Guild Ball special on the weekender this week. It features a nice little demo game and is quite fun and informative. Beasts of War Guild Ball special
