Well, that time of the year is almost upon us -- yet again.
So what is going to be your New Year Gaming related Resolution and for how long (hours, days, or for the strong willed - months) will you stick to it.
It could be:
I am going to play so and so at a game
or
I am going to buy into X system
or
I'm ditching Y system -- look out flea bay here it comes
etc. etc. --------------------------------------------------------------
Me - I'm going boring and safe
Chaz says
" I will only buy what I can paint that month and not buy anything more until it is painted " - Going to be a tough one until I find the secret of painting quickly, wish I picked up a few more Hell Dorado bits in 2014 as then they will not count. Also looks like I'm painting lots of 6mm in the first half of the year but I will snick in some more Hammering Iron and Hell Dorado stuff for a change. May not make much of an impact on 'lead mountain' but could stop it growing any more.

I am going to build my malifaux board. I am going to paint my desert realm of battle board (it's sprayed but need detailing, dry brushing). I'm going to build an infinity board. (At least plan it and start) and get a game of infinity in.

I am going to take some paint out of its cellophane. I may even put some on a figure, but that's a resolution for 2016...

Well now let me see.
I have rather a lot of unfinished miniatures lying around in various states of incompletion. Let's go with something simple and achievable. This year I would like to fully paint a single miniature from start to finish. It's not allowed to be anything that I've previously put paint on. It does not need to be done all in one sitting. I do not need to decide which miniature it will be when I start work on it. There is a minimum size. To maintain a sense of completion anything smaller than a hobbit or child does not count as one full miniature.

Paint and get rid of DZC. Paint more than i buy, and aim to have more painted figures than unpianted figures. Play several games of napoleonics, at long last !!!!

I think I'll just go with actually paint stuff, preferably more than I did last year which means the bar is particularly low! To be fair I've already made a start on this one with my Terror Tots and Cherub for the Malifaux League, I've made some good headway, just a few finishing touches then it's just Lilith and Barbaros and I'll be good to go for the first two months.
Last year was a pretty slow year on the painting front for me. Lead Mountain is looking pretty daunting at the moment with a good 80% of my Malifaux, 100% of my Skorne and 99% of my Hell Dorado needing some brush action... can't see the Hordes getting any love this year though. I'm not playing my Demons until I've painted them, it will be nice to have a fully painted HD crew on the table.
EDIT - I'll also try to get something historic booked in this year. Chaz mentioned it a few weeks ago and although it's not really my thing I'm more than happy to give it a go and put my hand to something new. I prefer ancient history rather than the more recent centuries but I'm game for pretty much anything.

Last year was a pretty slow year on the painting front for me. Likewise (although in my case it was more due to rheumatoid arthritis . How's a game or two of Saga sound? I've been meaning to get back into that myself for ages. Admittedly you'll be quite busy with the Malifaux games but you might find some spare time for some viking dark ages action .

I understand that is the one where you can basically use any models you happen to own which is great as I have a fairly extensive Warhammer collection... What can I use my Ogres as?
