All the brickwork is made from blue styrofoam, individually cut and then stuck together with PVA. Once dried I give it a thinned PVA wash and paint with craft acrylics.
The vegetables are static grass and flock. For the low 'carrot top' types (first two rows on the left) I just put down a row of glue and add the flock. For the vines (3rd and 4th rows) I make a row like the carrot tops but use long grass (6 or 10mm) and when dry I dry-brush with PVA before adding ground foam flock or other suitable vegetable vegetation. The cabbages (row 5) and other veggies are blobs of glue with short grass added then topped with ground foam/foaliage.
By using coloured sand instead of ground foam you can make flowers like the ones at the corner of the farmhouse in the other picture.
