Cheers dude. Bit of a rush job to be honest. Will go over them again before sticking transfers on them. Just need to figure out what the last two mechs will be to round out my company

Light to mediums to go with your heavy to assaults. So Commandos, Firestarter and Griffin. Or if 3023 onward Hatchetman All are made in the Alliance but like the Awesome many common Mechs are imported

I agree. The idea was to have some light to mid brawlers, as I've got tons of heavy hitters, and now a full lance of scouts plus helicopters for the mobility.
Need some mid-rangers. I have a Hatchetman and Firestarter omni which I was going to add at the appropriate time, but I'm getting impatient! Could add a Commando and have a pair of them running around I guess. Or maybe another Zeus for true Lyran recon - assault stylee.
More thought needed

My tech force is painted but there's more to add. I know there's jets but can't recall what else... Will check later Ah yes the "carriers" and the HQ vehicles...

You see an upside down biscuit holder. I see barracks, a warehouse, mess halls and fuel storage, all connected by tunnels to protect the residents from the arctic climate of Lushann - the principle world where the DSR are based. Huzzah!

Does anyone know how to make it hard (aaaand wait for it...)
Would mat spray varnish or something solidify it? I want to keep the shape as-is, just make it able to be bashed around a bit more

Nice one Dave Spray foam (messy stuff) is the best is a filler and should (ahem) make it hard. Spray foam reacts with water and expans lots so be careful using it! Wash it and should be ok for primer for painting.

Either filler as matt says or take a cast.
It's the same principle as the amera stuff.
Personally, I'd pack it with newspaper, glue it to mdf (which if I felt particularly sensible I'd cut to a hex base) Then paint it with pva twice before you start painting. Pva is your friend.

Be prepared to add then have to carve back. Be aware that the can probably won't work a second time. (I've never managed to clear the nozzle)

I'll probably go down the packing with newspaper and pva gluing the snot out of it. Now I've got a template to work with I'm having fun designing the various buildings. I may make the mech and vehicle hammers underground though, as they'll take up an entire mapsheet alone

Personally if glue card on it too. Doors, flat roofs, access spaces etc...
