You can get plastic film with hexes on. Then you just stick it over your model and you won't need to add the hexes... Sadly, I am unable to recall the distributor who supplies said adhesive plastic film. You might try checking with antenocitis workshop. Triqq da'pliq Ah cool. Cheers for thinking of me. Let me know if you find it again. P.s. I googled that phrase and couldn't find anything

It's a compelling game mechanic combing features of wargames, strategy board games, and role playing games uniquly blended into something unique and special
....as you race for the pond

Anyone know what I need to bribe Chaz with to make this a separate sub-board? Does he respond to sweets or women? What is that quote I'm looking for? Something like "If you build it, he will come." So you have a place to organise and fill with love for 2" high mecha

Can any mechs go with any mechs? or are there specific "armies"
I know you get a load of the mech damage sheets in the boxed set, but where do you get the damage sheets for mechs that probably arnt in the box ?

Oh you mad, poor fool. There are hundreds of factions over dozens of different time periods. some mechs are associated with certain factions (e.g. The Dragon is from the Draconis Combine) but due to salvage, trade etc, most mechs can be found with most armies to a greater or lesser extent. Just go on Sarna.netre: record sheets. You can dowload them cheaply from the main website - or you can send me a shopping list - I've got loads that I can photo copy for most types/eras. What I don't jave, I'm sure Mat has

Loads even have the mech builder program on pc as well Oh yeah, I forgot. not only are there hundreds (and I do mean hundreds) of different mechs available, there's usually a good hald a dozen different versions of each type, on top of the ability to make/custom your own anyway. 'tis a fine thing, to be a battletecher.

Thats a shame, only one clan mech Did you not mount the boxed set mechs on hex bases ? I mite mount mine on the plastic hex bases. Weeeell, you can probably stretch that a little bit. The clans do clanner refits of IS models (the mech stays the same, just gets clan version weapons and heat sinks). They use them for their garrison and 2nd line forces (though they're still far more powerful than anything fielded buy the IS). The models may look a little different in some cases, but for the purposes of our gaming group, you could easily use from the boxed set - Atlas C Jenner IIC CommandoIIC ClintIIC Add the Mad Cat to the mix, and you have a clan solahma star to go with your front line star that you've ordered separately. in addition to that, as the clans advanced, they ended up using even standard IS units with no upgrades to fulfil their garrison roles, so you can justifiably use all of your mechs for clan if you so wish. or you can try asking around for anyone who's got the boxed set and doesn't have a use for the Mad Cat and is willing to swap one or two decent IS ones for it. As far as bases go, I'm just using them as they are as they still work well on hex grids. If you like the symmetry of making the hex bases the same as new models you buy, then more power to ya, but I've gone for the path of least resistance!
