I got two starter sets. Got them about five years ago from a bring and buy. It is a project I have be dipping in and out of. One celts and one imperial roman. I have this week started the long journey to finish these armies. 60 romans painted. I have about another 90 to do. I think there is some ancient brits being done by the club members. I have around 100 in differing stages of painting they are all built and primed. I feel when this madness is over a game of hail Caesar is on the cards. I may get a scorpion and some chariots for the celts much further down the line.

I've got about 40 ancient Britons (could be celts) that I have primed but need painting. They are from Warlord 28mm range.

Perfect, they will be a real boon when we are back to normal. My romans are motoring on. I also have around 100 celts in various stages of painting but all built and primed. Hail Caesar runs exactly like black powder. But with the rules changed for the period.

I feel the first blood letting in my ancient bones. I am going to see if I can woad up my warriors. Paintings a bit difficult at the moment as my daughter had taken over my desk for making drawings...but this will spur me on.

The romans are working out to be very complicated. I have just completed 10 Auxiliary with another ten in the pipeline. I will have them based tomorrow. They will be put on Wessex facetime
