something I've always wanted to play -- well since those movies anyway.
I just would have gone in at 10 or 15mm instead.

Lots to do putting together the unmarried all done now I am priming with army painter leather brown and going to darken with a thin wash of rhinos hide. The feathers and cow tails with screaming skull. The shields will be black and white. Finishing with a wash of strong tone. Seven stands of forty ml with four to a base. Four stands of twenty ml with single figures to show casualties

Thanks it's helped. My progress picture will be on the blog shortly. Glueing the figures together has been the slowest part of the operatio, the painting is very fast.

Just got the sweaty bit out of the way. The bit I was dreading the shields. Black background white sections and dry brush the lace bindings. When the dry brush didn't take I coloured the white in.

Had a thought, they supply in the box set eight shields also eight shields In The other box, these cannot be used on the zulus as the arms are attached to the shields. So I thought I would base a painted shield on a forty by forty and use it as an impi replacing the zulus when they surcom to the British martinis. Therefore bog off. Buy one get one free.

I found in a model collection shop in Devon a impi in 15mm eleven bases 43 figures in total allpainted up and based. Seemed a crime to leave them there. Not a clue now what to do with them.

Simples you already have some 15mm wagons so just need to find some 15mm red coats
or blue coats if you wish to the field the legendary 45th Butlin's olde guard rifles

I am lost, but I am willing to be enlightened Ok I see now. It was a very deep well, so it took a long time for the penny to drop. Old age, it comes to us all.
