Cool matey. Look forward to seeing the army. Are they pre- painted? Let me know if you want a game sometime. Whilst I'm waiting for my Death Korps (which I'm hoping Dave can blag at Salute), I'm painting a 2000pt Baran Siegemasters army as an allies option with extra snipers just in case Dave ever wants to play..

Right. Just bought an artillery company plus 15 more tanks. This 'cheap option' to use all of my old models appears to have backfired massively.
I now have 3 Imperial Guard armies (if you include the daemon/traitor army) on the go....
On that note, if anyone has any slaanesh or nurgle stuff, I'm looking to swap out my Khorne and Tzeentch bits.
On the plus side, I'll be able to give Tony's 7000pt squats a run for their money!

. I think Epic may just be coming back as one of my favourite games. The mistakes we made that I noted are - Warhound having the shields of a Warlord (not a rules issue as such, just a cock up!) My Demolishers were actually a company upgrade, so should have been with the infantry company Withdrawal - i misread it. It says that the broken unit MAY immediately move twice its movement IN ANY DIRECTION, it just can't end up 15cm of an enemy unit. So that means a broken unit could actually stay put if it's not 15cm of an enemy, though you can't give it any orders until it regroups, and any further shots will start wiping out units. This also explains why there are no rules for broken units fleeing the table - it doesn't happen. They either move out of 15cm or are destroyed. Broken Units - can't be given any orders, including Marshal (which allows an extra regroup during the turn). That's all I can think of. Will add more if I come across them. Need those blinking horses to come through so I can get cracking on 2000 pts. Hopefully more! In the meantime, I have all I need for the cultists, so may focus on them instead. More rules we messed up/overlooked - - void shields are replaced the same way you remove blast markers in the end phase, and you chose to remove a blast marker or replace a void shield. - in order to fire indirectly, a unit has to make a sustained fire order (and will get a +1 to hit) - units get a -1 to hit, in addition to relevant saves, when in cover

Trenches: Can you see? They are about 6mm high, so a model on a base can just see over the top.

stubram6 objective markers. Some tester blast markers. First option includes a mushroom (5 blasts) and smoke plume (1 blast) or a blast die holder. I prefer the mushroom and plume but will need more 1 & 5 euro coins to base them, will have to go on holiday.

Can't you use 5p and 1p coins respectively for the bases?

Siege master looking good. Just spent the last 3 hours in the bar so a bit late posting this: last 5 trenches (making 100cm) 6 artillery positions and first 3 bunkers. I will get the next 3 bunkers done tomorrow but the barbed wire will only get done after I have passed Halfords. Will all need painting though as that does not interest me so much. See the mushroom cloud has a bit of paint. Need more 1 and 2p pieces.

Dude they look amazing. Your gonna have to tell me how you did them! Partly because they're awesome, and partly because I'm gonna need more tank emplacements at some point to fit my 9 howitzers! You've really ploughed through them. I feel that I must show up with a fully painted army at the very least to do them justice.

stubramI have had another look through the rules but can not find anything on the dimensions on razor wire other than a total length of 50cm? What do you think? I am thinking 10 strips of card 1cm by 10cm to represent the area covered with razor wire on top.

In the rules it's merely dangerous terrain for infantry, so as they'll be crossing 'through' it whether it's 10,12 or even more cm deep, I say just pick a width that works for you.

On another note, I started getting carried away with my Barans, forgetting that i'm not supposed to be spending money on them as they are a simple support force for my Death Korps. On that note, I''Ve just re-done my army to use models that i already have, or that are exclusive to Baran Siegemasters. Upshot is that I now have a very thematic army. Downside is, i think they're all going to die.

I bought three vindicators off eBay. Unfortunately they look like they have been painted at a chimps tea party. They are metal and should look good with the white scars once repainted. Should I get rid of the paint straight away. Or just paint straight over. If I should get rid of the paint what should be the best way.

Only cost a few quid. Brings my stuff up a treat.

ironskarme confused dot com I've got Uppermill Saddleworth roots so Saddleworth, or 'Quick' as it was once known, has lain within the historic county boundaries of Yorkshire since the middle ages. From a very ancient time, the area formed part of the Agbrigg Wapentake, in the "Land of the King in Eurvicsire" Well until 1972 when someone shifted it without moving a single mountain. Turning aside Loving all the Bournemouth in Hampshire references in the Durrells program [correct, as it is pre 1974] Oh and PS could we have links to resources / downloads in its own thread rather than Stu's want list

Did you really win that in 2005 Well spotted. Hmm, champagne flutes in the background...I have no comment that could appear open media. T.V. With subtitles on, guess that's better than what I would expect you to be watching. Finishing painting an army, I expect you to be banned.

I'm glad you explained what in Jebus Chaz was talking about!
We were watching Young Molntalbano. It's Italian. And shit. But the missus likes it, which means I get to paint.
