The only thing that's bugging me about the game is 'Blaze Away'. I love the mechanic, but it seems a little overpowered - it's usually easier to do than shoot, has long lasting effects, can actually kill a character after disabling it, doesn't need LoS, and gets better if the target is already taking flak.
I kinda figured with my little elite team that I'd have to stick to the shadows, and watch where I present models, but the BA ability pretty much has me scuppered.
Maybe That's why I can get so many command cards, to help fight against it?
I thought that maybe Discipline was my counter, as I read it that I got to chose which way I go (i.e. That I can choose to get pissed off and Enraged by being shot at, instead of pinned or suppressed).
Thoughts?

...I thought that maybe Discipline was my counter, as I read it that I got to chose which way I go (i.e. That I can choose to get pissed off and Enraged by being shot at, instead of pinned or suppressed)... Unfortunately not. The Discipline option is only for when you take a Get Mean! action (page 68). This means your Disciplined Enforcers can Get Mean! to raise your aggression for a hand-to-hand bonus and then use it to lower your aggression for firing to avoid the penalty associated with the Enraged aggression level. Consider using smoke grenades (2 points) or a camo cloak (5 points) to get bonuses vs Blaze Away! Also, the Blaze Away! target counts as in cover if he's at a higher level or cannot be seen by the Blazer Awayer, something we missed in previous games as it's not on the cheat sheet. Additionally, although the target of a Blaze Away! action may possibly take damage, in reality you have to score extremely well to cause damage. For the Enforcers, they'd have to be suppressed already and suffer a (tripled) -3 aggression in order to get past their Armour 2 rating. Lastly, something else we have got wrong is that a model can only perform an action of the same type once, not twice, so no blazing away (or shooting) twice in a round...

Excellent - thanks for the clarity.
That last point makes it for me - it felt a little overpowered to do the same thing twice. Much more balanced (and forces more thought and tactical choices) to only be able to do something once.

It mean you get to use the Aim action a bit more when shooting too!

How about using a 'command' action (test required) to make the BA model already activated for that round.
This is something else we have been overlooking in games.
Ah the joy of having your own force -- it forces you to look up things

Unless the weapon is marked as Single Shot, then any model can blaze away. Command actions are limited to a certain amount per game so you may want to think hard before you burn one, but it's still a valid option.
