Use the insert image button instead of the insert link button. Slap in the link to the image like you did in your previous post, and snip, snip, Bob's you're auntie... DW

Yaaaaay! Finally, the only force I've ever completely painted. Notice the cleverly sculpted alien landscape, made to look like a tablecloth.
Now I know how to post pics, I promise to keep the genitalia shots to a minimum.

If you've used the imgur app the tab is "embed code" and then click on size.
Choose bbcode and that will copy the link ready to paste.

Is there much use of troops and vehicles in BT ? or are they kinda pointless ? im into the big stompy robot thing, but jut wondered if need to getany small stuff. I've only played a dozen or so games myself so have the basics down but that's about it. Awesome that you're on the clan stuff. Never played against them, but heard that they're so far above IS when they first encounter them that you need 3-1 odds to even start to make it fair. Tanks and infantry have limited value - vehicles are imobalized relatively easily and, once you're through the armour, they die quick. They're much cheaper and can carry comparable weapons as mechs though. Kind of a poor man's substitute. Basic infantry is pretty useless, can only move 1 hex per turn, and have very short weapons range. On the other hand- they're dirt-cheap, can fire in any direction, can occupy buildings, and most mech-grade weapons are next to useless at killing them. you can outfit them with missle launchers to be better at damaging mechs though, or jump packs to move around and over terrain, or APC's to get them into place quickly, or train them in mech swarming tactics (they climb up a mech and plant bombs in the legs) and then , of course you have Battle Armour, which does everything above, but better. if you're clan, you can get Elementals, which are the best Battle Armoured infantry you can get. Also, clans hate tanks (they see mechs as the epitome of warefare so don't like to use anything else....except for Clan Hells Horses, but that's probably too much information right now). So if you're clan, you probably won't use many/any tanks ect anyway. in short- battlemechs are king, but a few tanks to soak up fire, a few artillery pieces to soften up the enemy, some infantry to seize and hold objectives all create a rounded force. Hover vehicles are fast but die even easier, and then of course you have aerospace fighters, which the clans are actually big on. So...many.....choices.

We need to sort a time to get you battleteched up if you wanna join what I'm loosely calling a campaign - create your forces and shizzle. So far I'm using a Steiner ex-merc unit that has in effect been 'company stored' by the FWL, and Tony is using a ragged bunch of Periphery mercs. Even if Rees isn't up for the campaign as he learns the ropes and decides if he likes it, I'm still hoping he'll be ok with us playing against him on occasion as part of our campaign.
