Painted minis, cool conversions, photos of battlereports.
Don't be shy, there's a general modelling section too. Double up. We want everyone to see your hard work.

As my need to do anything involves making a working clump in isolation i think I need a counter to dark legion too. I think it will have to be a Bauhaus army of etoiles mortant from my Escher models.
I've looked on the prodos site and I thoroughly dislike a lot of their models.

Have a look on www.princeaugust.com - the old suppliers of Warzone, if you don't like some of the newer stuff. Or just custom the whole lot. I've got some Bauahaus if you want to test them out

...Don't be shy, there's a general modelling section too... I'm not shy, but you REALLY don't want to see anything from my modelling career... But if you ARE interested, just Google "Gimps 'r' Us". DW

Counter to Dark Legion you say? *points at Brotherhood Range* My counter is fairly simple...

Counter to Dark Legion you say? *points at Brotherhood Range* My counter is fairly simple... Since Phil is our resident Dark Legion general, a more direct counter would be to let down his tyres. And thus...the forces of evil were vanquished. And had to get the bus home

I'm hoping my next post on this thread will actually be a model I have painted.
Oooooooh. Exciting!
TONY you told me that you've been painting. Get it on here ol' son. I need some motivation, and you shall be my muse (but with less nudity and togas)

A bit crude I know, but what do people think of the colour scheme? I'm used to doing bright and colourful, but these are Trenchers - blood and mud and sluggery, so trying to make them look 'run of the mill' whilst not being boring.

They look good. How much faff were they as if they are troopers the key is churning them out without losing the love

They're a bit of a bitch in general to be honest - the cross over straps and positioning are a swine. Need to develop a quicker method

And painted the serial number on the rifle while you were at it...

you are as useful as a breakdancing leper.
On another note, I'm trying out the Nemesis style of painting by just putting on a base coat and then covering everything in a black wash (don't own any dip). Waiting for it to dry, but the model took about 10 minutes to do, and actually looks better than the one I pratted around with for ages above.
Will post pics when done

Also, genuinly thank you for the feed back - but do we think it looks too dull? Do I need any colourful tpuches or would that ruin the look of a 'line' trooper?

Cheers Captain. I've been scared to screw around with it in case I made it look worse. Good tips for the Deadzone stuff too.

EXTREME CLOSE UP! The Blood Berets take the highground, whilst in the far distance a squad of elite Golden Lions rips apart an enemy unit of Etoiles Mortant before pouncing on Algelica Drachen and killing her, ending the game with a close win for the Imperials.

Blood Berets done...kinda. Basic colouring and dipped, but good enough to play with. Simple highlights and flocking will do the rest. Just need to finish the Captain and 3 Golden Lions, and I have my 750 point force.

As this is the first army of anything I've ever completed, feeling a little bit pleased with myself. 750pt Imperial
