The blurb doesn't fill me with confidence. Apparently you already have to have a good knowledge of WWII weapons and armour. And why do I have to stop playing it when I'm 90? That's age-ist that is!

Cheers for the head up Hal I've downloaded a set and already have a good amount for France 1940.
So I will sit down once Wimbledon is out of the way and sort out some forces for a make-e-learnie game

Have now read Tactical Command and printed off a set
It seems that it will work fine for our needs. Like Tank Wreck, stands are platoons / squads. At times it use a D10 but mostly it is a hand fall of D6. Yes there are points values for those that want them.
I can see me having to place an order for more 1" x 1" bases with some 2 by 2 and 4 by Fours for artillery barrage markers. After that there will need to be a trip to Wargames Valut for some more Micro Mark Orbats.
My interest is France 1940 and I do have stuff for this, admittedly it was brought for WRG 1925 - 50 rules and uses 3 infantry bases to a section and vehicles are individual. What this means is that I will have to plug a few gaps with new recruits to fit the orbats and then remove the points over spend. The infantry is less problematic as WRG was 2 bases of rifles + 1 Lmg base and Tactical Command seems to use the same organisation.
I know that Hal has an interest in re-fighting Kursk. I don't mind buying a mix of Soviet T-34 and lighter tanks to flesh out a force to oppose the Germans or even modernise a few German units if needs be.
This could be our next makie learnie game, when La Tour permits of course.
so who else has some WW2 6mm? and id so what?
and as the rules are a free download who else is prepared to give then a look at?
Oh and whom has the google search foo to find a QRS
