So here I go again. Pike and shotte. I have the supplement the Devils playground. I have been building my armies steadily over a couple of years. And I am pleased to say the winning post is insight. I can put on a couple of battles in 15mm using my fire and sword stuff. Just need to finish off the baggage train, plus a few other things. I have put together my list of stands. Each stand carries three or four figures. pike 31 stands, musket 58 stands, two general command stands. Canons 5 large, 1 medium, 3 light and two mortars, command cavalry 6 stands, command foot 4 stands, mob halbreds hand weapons 11 stands, currasiers 3 stands, Rieter 11 stands, dragoons 7 stands, lancers three stands with command, artillery tenders 2. Sniper stands 6 and the piece de la resistance 17 stands of model army cavalry plus a general.
in all around 600 figures. More in the pipeline. So my thoughts are that A couple of members have armies for this period as well. Can I have numbers of finished stands so I can in corporate them.
the spectacle of having a battle this size will be brill. I am thinking of Bovington perhaps. Being 15mm it would fit on our 6by 4 mat. Your thoughts on this please.

I have holy roman empire so could easily cross over, 16 stands musket, 8 stand pike, 1 stand officers foot,1 officers mounted, 3 stands light canon. I am going to get more, need calvary, I'll talk to Matt tomorrow about Peter Pig figures. Only around 80 figures altogether, but something. Got them primed and standed but not painted but won't take long.
Big Battle Bovington, Bring it on.

I like the idea of involving a baggage train. One particular scenario has a race to save the train, but happy to do any of them.

Look forward to seeing the supplement, attack the baggage train! Got another four lancer stands in the pipeline. Matt said he would give a hand in building the baggage train. Got to get the dremel out again. Will have to test the battle at the club before hand.

Baggage train assembled and horses and stands primed. The workload is huge.

We all liked the latest mechanic where forces turn up on a Di e throw. It reminded me of a game I played one of the shows. From the rulebook donnybrook. You. Use an old pack of cards and write all participating units of all sides. Simply pick a card each turn. Each game would be different. Could be good for bovvy.

Shoves fist in the air with a wild yahoo! I have done the biggest basing job ever. Hours and hours of work, but it has paid off. The last cannon finished at ten o'clock. Over two hundred bases, first you use glue then sand, after that a layer of stain, then another layer of glue then grass.
I am ready for bovvy. The completed work will be on view this Monday. At the club. Pictures to be posted shortly.

Well done, a huge job. They looked great on Monday and looking forward to Saturday. Basing just lifts the figures and really places them on the battle field.
